There is actually a really easy way to prevent this. In my two 10Gs, I purchased one of those feeding rings at PetSmart and have positioned it so that the water flows directly into the circle so that the duckweed stays afloat and doesn't get caught in the current, thus keeping my plants clean looking.WATduh said:I think the chief complaint is filter clogging.
