Kuhli loaches in a 20L?

Hi everybody!

I recently got a fantastic break with a free 20L with a Fluval 306. I am starting to think about what I would like to do with it eventually, and I need a little input.

I think I would like to have kuhli loaches, tinwini, and shrimp in there. It seems like kuhlis may out grow the tank when kept in optimal numbers (I have read anywhere between 5 and 10 as a minimum). Aqadvisor says I am fine, but I wanted to make sure. No interest in keeping fish in suboptimal conditions.

I am also (theoretically) not getting a bigger tank. But we all know how that goes.

What do all you kuhli keepers say?

Kuhlies are so thin that even though they can be 4" or so long, they really only mass about the same as a 2" fish as far as bioload goes.
They are highly active, so I think that is the minimum tank size for them. I have usually kept them in larger tanks: 29 gallon, 40 and 45 gallon tanks. No matter what size, they can fill it with activity!
