european red wrigglers in compost did quite well when i was vermicomposting but at the time i wasn't feeding them to aquarium fish.

 

If they eat bloodworm, then it should be easy to switch them to grindal, white, or black worms depending on what size worm they'll take. Grindal and white worms are easy to culture at home; you can usually find cultures on Aquabid or Evilbay or any fish breeder will usually have cultures going. Personally, black worms are a PITA. But some specialty fish stores sell them.

 

You can order blackworms and keep them in the fridge for a few days, but the other worms suggested by Zhylis are easier to keep going.

The Farm

 

If you need micro worms for baby fish, you can cut a potato in half and burry it for a week.
There will be tiny white worms on it, that you use to start your culture. They exist in soil almost everywhere in the world.
There are enough youtube vids up on the process that I don't have to type up the whole process, but it takes about 4 weeks from starting until one has clean food.
You grow out a few generations (they have short lifecycles) in order to get cleaner and cleaner cultures.
