Getting Rid of BGA on Driftwood

I have BGA on a piece of driftwood in my tank.

Will removing the driftwood and then boiling the driftwood in water kill all the bacteria? I plan on putting some hydrogen peroxide on the wood before the boiling process. There is some BGA on my substrate (small dots, not severe at the moment) I intend to dig out the affected bits of substrate and boil as well

I'm open to any other suggestions. I realize the above will not get rid the tank of the BGA this is just 'band-aid' treatment while I determine & tackle the real problem

I've had good results by taking out the driftwood and treating the infected area with Seachem Excel using a pipette of plastic dropper. I've found that the algae will actually stay away from the treated area for some time.

Boiling the piece should also do it. I wouldn't use hydrogen peroxide on driftwood. It may bleach out the wood. Just think of what it does to your hair.
