Does an air stone which goes on after Co2 goes off cause algae? I keep getting staghorn only on the side where my airstone goes on.. coincidence? Maybe?

Staghorn is often caused by high levels of Micro fertilizer.
Are you dosing Micros?

What size is your tank? Try to reduce your dose by 0.5-1ml and see how it goes. Staghorn should clear out after this. Once it goes away stick to a dose that doesn't cause Staghorn to appear.
