Version 3 - coming soon. I'm breaking down the tank next week to move to a new place, so now's probably a good time to post pics :hihi:

Here's the progression of Version 2

I added a more substrate to get more slope. Got it wet and started planting:

All 4 bulbs on, and light lowered. (LOL too blue! :hihi: )

Some fishy / inverts pics I have....

Front and center - N. Beckfordi,
Left - Glo-light Tetra
Back and center - N. Rubrocaudatus

N. Mortenthaleri (front and center)

RCS

Amano on a nerite :hihi:

Shot of 4 of my Nannostomus Mortenthaleri (Coral Red / Red Arc Pencilfish). There's a pair of Beckford Pencfish in there as well

Shot of the Nannostomus Rubrocaudatus ("Purple" Pencilfish) on the left, and the N.Mortenthaleri on the right. There's a gertrude there in the middle, but it's too much to ask from an iPhone 4 to catch a non-blurry pic of it

Shot of the 3 pencilfish species I have in the tank. Left is the "Purple", top-middle is a female Beckford, and at the right is the Coral Red / Red Arc.
And again, there's a blurred gertrude there

Where did you find the coral reds? They're one of the favorite fish, shame they can be difficult to get a hold of.
Most are from Aqua Forest, and a few from Neptune Aquatics. Wet Spot Tropical (?) had a few on sale at Aquabid last year. Eric (Ibn) found a couple of other sources that I can't remember off the top of my head at the moment LOL!

But yeah, they are not easy to find. Maybe other folks are buying too, but normally I don't see more than 10 in stock, that is if there are any.

Nice tank! I look forward to the rescape!
Thanks! You in sfbaaps? If not, go register :proud:

Speaking of rescape, I picked these black lava rocks up this morning.

I'm a little worried about color consistency, especially the big rocks. However, some are wet and some are dry, as these are just in a pile outside. I'll get them all uniformly wet sometime this week and go from there.
