Both shrimp, the Red Cherry Shrimp and the Yellow Shrimp, are the same species (Neocaridina heteropoda). If you allow them to stay in the same aquarium over time you will be left with nothing but brown (wild type) colored shrimp. If you plan on raising the offspring I would suggest that you keep them in sepperate aquariums!
