I will be getting the tank on Monday and the light on Thursday. I will post pictures of both as soon as I get them. I probably just set up the hard-scape and then leave it alone for the next 2 weeks because I have finals coming up. After finals I will start to grow my plants emersed (sp?) for two reasons, the first is because I wan't to get that nice thick carpet affect that it gives you, but also because as of now I am pretty much broke. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it scape wise I'll post some brainstorms later.

I got the tank yesterday, and was not able to to get pictures of it yet because I've been swamped with studying for finals (which I should be doing right now

so I got the tank and it was in great shape as were the Lilly pipes and other stuff I got. everything arrived safe the only issue I had was when I opened the box the Azoo substrate was frozen as was the 4dhk other than that there was no issues. will being frozen have affected the 4dhk?

then tragedy (or rather stupidity) since a picture is worth a thousand words I let these two explain it

in between the two photos I thought it would be a good idea to try to put a semi-frozen suction cup on my efflux (outflow) pipe and it broke. which is dually sad because I found out they are only sold in sets

I've always thought that was a nice tank. Having some amazon swords or some bolbitis on driftwood growing on driftwood would look awesome in this tank. A school of Threadfin rainbows would go in there great too.

Man this tank looks awesome. Just that it seems like it's not proportioned right almost as the tank is so long and only a foot wide. On the site it looks huge but still never less an awesome tank. Actually the more I look at it is almost resembles to be a mini ADA 120-P or something!

That sucks about the pipe though! I have two sets of these and now I know that I should be even more extra careful to avoid this!

Ohh and i'm curious what chemical does your avatar represent?

And how do I subscribe? I want to be number two!!! lol

That is a good idea. Keeping the plant selection on the Nano side will be ideal for this set up, making things appear larger than they really are is tough sometimes..

Sweet. This is a really cool tank, dimension-wise. I like that initial 'scape too. Overall, this is definitely going in a good direction. You had even inspired to pick up the Mr. Aqua version of this tank that I had seen at the LFS, but someone had snatched it up already.

I just wanted to let you know that doing these cool things with a cool tank is dangerous, in that it could end up costing me, and others, a bunch of money for a new setup. :icon_wink

Update? I'm gonna buy this tank....lol I have a 46 gallon bowfront which is 36 inches also and i just cant comprehend how yours is only 12 gallons lol.

lf l ever decide to make another journal i'm going to buy this tank. Orlando just inspired me with that picture of his... . +1 on the boraras, it would be just awesome to see tons of them in that tank with some bolbitis, moss attached to driftwood ect.. also subscribed! keep up the great work

I would go for it! its a great tank shape I'll take some pics of how the HC has grown out Its almost ready to be filled. I plan to order some plants and then in a week or so I'll fill it.

If you have any suggestion for plants for the upper portion I'd love to hear them.
