I just started a tank about 2 weeks ago. A 70gal custom built by me anyway I dirted the back half with organic soil and caped with play sand ( white ), the front/foreground has flora max as a sub that's it. I have one peace lily,DHG (dwarf hair grass), along with some glossostigma. When setting up the tank my hose pipe burst so I couldn't wash either substrate but a few water changes cleared that up, I do have a divider in there about 4" tall an its yellow acrylic so this is the only thing I can think of as being the culprit besides not adding the water clearifyer that came with the flora max. Any ideas as to why I have yellow water with only rocks in my hard scape?

Tannins in the water column, add some Purigen to your filter and it'll be cleared in no time and will never be a worry again

I was thinkin the same but tannis from where? I don't have any DW in there, I was gonna put some for moss but never did.
