I just got the XP3 cannister from bigals and the thing is cherry.
Brand new, sparkling, heavy duty.

It looks complicated to set up.
I'm going to put it in my 80us gal, which should come tomorrow.

Yeah, I think it will work good with low water levels? Sometimes I don’t always fill the tank in order to acclimate the fish. With a canister you can do this but not with a HOB.

With XP3, I’m impressed with how expensive & heavy duty everything feels! Not like the cheap junk.
cheers

Got mine installed lastnight & it amazed me how quick and easy it is to put together. BTW its my first time using a canister filter.

Mine is running smooth without any noise at all!

Yeah, I think many people stick with HOB cause they're cheaper but
Filstars are coming down in price & are a good investment!

I got mine from local petsmart $104.99 **ORIG. price $140+. They pricematch there own website price, just bring the print out of that page that shows the item with price. You don't have to pay shipping again.

our p.mart has low stock. No 55gals, no big canisters but they do have a good selection of fish.

Its kind of a hassle to print out the page. They freakin know how much it is on the website.
