I'd suggest getting grindals. White worms are a pain to raise unless you have a refrigerator you can raise them in. They like it cold.

Or an unheated basement. They need to be kept between 50F and 60F for best reproduction. The refrigerator is actually a bit too cold for them to reproduce properly. I keep 3 boxes of them in my unheated basement year round. The best time to buy white worms is when it's cool season but they don't need a heatpack....heat kills the worms.....and cool enough before hot summer temps so that you don't need ice packs....cause heat kills the worms!
