I just set up a new 40gal dirted tank with a sand cap and I am looking for some malaysian trumpet snails to keep the substrate aerated. Does anyone have more than they need and/or willing to part with some?
Well, since this is my first darted tank I am not sure how many I would need. Any recommendations for a 40 gallon? I am in Portland, Oregon. What price are you asking for them?
Malaysian trumpets are incidental. If you put a couple in your tank and if you over feed your fish, a few months later you'll have hundreds. The Wet Spot charges 35¢ for one but most shops and aquarists should have no trouble giving them away.
I'm in NE near Wilshire Park - send me a PM and tell me where you are and when you want them.
So, it turns out that my GBR is a fan of snails. I am not sure how many survived the first week. I am looking for more snails that can maintain a population in the substrate. Does anyone have any available?
I live in Cornelius really close to the walmart .. If you'd like some I'm available Sunday morning .. I have a bunch in my 5.5 I can give you free if you're willing to make the drive out. Shoot me a PM if interested
