There is a guy in Woodridge that sells them on craigslist. I've bought from him several times, nice guy to deal with.
IIRC he wants like a buck a snail, and I don't want to pay 50 bucks for what many consider a plague

I'm pretty sure he only wants a couple bucks per dozen. He had mystery/apple snails for $1/per. You may want to check again.

I can try to collect some out of my 60 gal, you can have them as long as you pick up. I'm in bartlett.

i have a bunch of what i believe to be Malaysian trumpet snails. they hide in the substrate all day and come out in a massive horde after te lights go out. I can give you a butt load for a few dollars. im in coal city illinois.

It's actually easier to get them then one would think. But just let me know.
Is there a Petsmart nearby? They usually have a ton on the glass... some stores will let people have them if you ask. My store didn't since people asked for them without knowing that they would never be able to get rid of them and came back and complained.
