would this light fit?

It states that it's for tanks 24" to 36" so yep, they would extend to fit your tank. If this is a planted tank though, these are basically useless to grow plants.

You could probably find either a used or new power compact strip light or a normal output t5 fixture for around that price if you looked around. Many 24" models have extending legs
