I started a build thread for my rimless 120 gal

Figured I would post here for wood placement specific ideas. The tank is viewed mostly from left to right as it’s situated almost in the right corner of the space. Here are some of the options I came up with, I am having a hard time deciding (and figuring out how to prop it up). Opinions please, haaaaalp!

1. Twig Wood Table Gas Rectangle

2. Wood Gas Twig Rectangle Glass

3. Table Wood Interior design Floor Twig

4. Table Wood Glass Art Composite material

5. Table Wood Floor Flooring Sports equipment

Thank you for the input blacksheep! I like the look of 3 the best because I really enjoy the protruding out of the water look. I do like the look and love the practicality of 4 though. I agree, 2 and 4 will need almost nothing to prop up. 3 and the others will take some finagling with slate. It is pretty heavy and I may have to through bolt it and countersink the slate and wood side. I need to do some research to see if that is possible (I’ve never attempted drilling into slate). Otherwise 4 would likely be the choice.

Number 1 was my first choice for sure yesterday, but after thinking about it I am going to have to cut the base quite a bit to get some flatter parts to attach to the slate. I like how the base looks just a bit better in #3 as well

How deep a substrate are you adding ? That’ll lift the wood by an inch or two depending , just a thought to bare in mind :)

It’s your tank , if you like 3 then do 3. You have to look at it every day, not us. Or try 4, which you liked . If you’re not happy you can take it out and drill the slate and bonus is it’ll likely be water logged by then !
