Will these grow?

I have a 5.5 gallon tank with a sand substrate. Just plain sand, no fancy flourite or ADA stuff. I have a 6500K 13W CFL bulb over it. No CO2.

Will Hemianthus micranthemoides or marsilea minuta grow well as ground covers in my tank? I dose with flourish and excel.

13 views and no feedback? someone has to have some info/ experience with these plants that they could share.
For the front left of your tank? Yes. Its alot of cutting and replanting to make a good carpet to get started but theyre super amazing awesome carpets :)
I think the marsilea minuta would do great in that set up. It will take some time to fill in but it would look good I think.

Agree, I had no problems whatsoever with the Marsilea in my old 5.5 with that amount of light over it.
HM will grow under almost any conditions. If lighting is low though, it grows slowly and tends to go vertical. In high light it grows so fast it looks blurry, and hugs the substrate.
