I have a tiny 2.5 gallon tank that houses some shrimp (two female and one male) and it has become overrun by MTS snails, and a few ramshorns. I have seen my cherry shrimp females berried at least 3 or 4 times in the last couple months, yet I have no fry. Obviously, there's a ton of reasons why they wouldn't survive, but I wanted to make sure the snails weren't it.

Are my snails eating my eggs?? I really want my shrimp to breed successfully (I need more than 3!).

Wow, I had no idea. So they give 'live' birth then? It's probably my filter sucking them in. It has a sponge, but it's probably too powerful for the tank size. No fish in the tank, just shrimp and snails.

I'll go filterless for a while and see what happens. One of the females is berried right now so it's the perfect chance.
