Will dividers stop snails?

Will dividing a tank stop newborn snails from moving between plants?

At least long enough to make sure all my plants are clean. I guess I'm asking if I can build a muti-celled quarantine tank for plants to insure no snails get in my big tank

And yes I know cichlids eat snails and assassins will hunt them down

I try to take care of all sanctioned assassinations in-house and quarantine is a big advantage

If I fail, I'll subcontract to those assassins
