Will a second light increase PAR?

Hello!

I recently switched out my old LED lights for one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015QM9UPC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AH7PBPHZ85HL3

This is on my 56G which is 30" x 18" x 24". Will adding a second of the same light increase PAR? It is challenging to find lights for this tank that are both attractive and high output and I'm pretty happy with this one but would like to crank it up a bit. With all due respect and appreciation, please answer my original question and don't suggest a different light...I like this one.
:wink2:

Thank you!

It absolutely will. Nearly doubling the par with a second of the same kind. I say nearly like 90% because of the offset you will lose a tiny. So add about 90-95% par and that is what you will get with a second of the same kind of light.

Your welcome and it is a great light so I do not blame you not wanting to switch it out. By the way @Seattle_Aquarist did an awesome review and par readings on this light so in case you have not I would recomend checking it out. From his readings my guess is from light to substrate you will be between 90-100 par with two lights which is good for high light plants. Check it out here. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/1...omparison-fluval-fresh-plant-2-0-fixture.html and remember double those readings for two of them

I was just trying to figure that out and feeling somewhat overwhelmed by all the information I'm finding online. Thank you AGAIN!!

Yea, light scales pretty well. Its one of the only predictable things about the hobby. Two lights = twice as much par.
