I have a 46 gallon tank with 1 discus, 3 koi swordtails, and 7 cardinal tetras. Currently, I am experiencing problems with hair algae getting in the leaves of Rotala wallichi. I was thinking about adding some wild type Neocaridina to eat it. Would the discus eat them? The discus is around 3 inches long. The tank is somewhat densely planted. I also have some driftwood in there.

discus will house them... happens to my buddy all the time lol... he never listens

If you want to fix the problem go after what causes the problem.

With that said I've seen people who do have shrimp in their discus tank. Not the best idea for the shrimp but if the numbers are right it can work some kinda way. They're eaten and they're reproducing.

Granted, the numbers have to be right.
