Generally they are less colorful than line breed apistos. Selective breeding overtime gives us those beautiful colors you see from non wild caught fish.

I recently bought a pair of wild caught Apistogramma Cacatuoïdes, the male is close to two inches long and he's got extremely amazing fins... but the coloration is nearly absent. I have a hem for a week now in a small planted 20g with a 6.7 PH level. How should I expect coloration from the male? Or WC ar generally more neutral???
