5 gallon unheated, pressurized co2, two finnex fugeray lights on for 10hrs a day. The fissidens is growing it's super dark. I do dose flourish and iron a couple times a week. I wanted this moss for its green color but not sure why it's not how I want it. Any suggestions?

Agreed looks almost dead. Though I have had it bounce back from looking like that to being green and lush in time. Did you dose anything like h202 or excel?

I'd it's dead it will break apart pretty quickly. Leave it and see if it does.

If you have any kind of photo shop lighten this picture up a bit.
It's shaded by the log but I think this is more normal color for it.
There is no Excel/CO2 in this tank and the light is on the line between low/med.

Fissiden take forever to grow even with high light,and co2. Mine did a lot better when placed in a breeder,box,with lots of flow.

Well if it's dead then it's zombie moss bc it's still growing, and this tank has a zoo med 501 filter on it so the flow is great. I've been thinking about trimming it way back and seeing what it does. I dose flourish and iron a couple times a week. No excel in this tank. It's on these two rocks and the wood as well and it's growing and spreading, just looks dark.

It's weird though bc the back wall is also Xmas moss and is a dark color as well. Could it be to much light for these mosses?

It's not bad, it's a nice transition from bbs, as it floats around like them. The apistos love it

it looks like its dying. it would be brighter green and in that last pic it looks like it breaking downs/melting away. maybe to many ferts and burnt it?

I'll skip the flourish for a couple weeks. But it's still growing and spreading and has no melt. It's weird

It does look like it's going, but at the same time it doesn't.. Do you dose any excel? It looks almost like it's melting or covered by algae.. The fissidens kinda resemble BBA like that lol.

You might have too much light for the fissiden. I had the same problem, it turned brown and die. Luckily I had some in another tank with less light so not all of my fissiden is dead.

Took a light off, fissidens seems to be reacting well gonna hold off on flourish as well
