Age I think. You never know how old they are when you get them in. Buy from a reliable source maybe? They only live for about 2 years I think.

Seachem Flourish killed my Nerite snail, I think it was the copper sulfate in it. If you are putting anything in the tank with the name of a metal in the ingredients I would say thats whats killing them.
nah, i quadruple dose flourish sometimes and it has never killed a nerite (or other snail in my tank)
i had this problem before, never figured out what was wrong. you may just have a nerite curse.
Have found that snails doo much better in alakline water as opposed to soft acidic water. Perhaps the calcium found in alakline water, and needed for shell development in snails is lacking?
I agree age could be one of the problems but I try to get the small ones, I get them for different sources. I do have some algae on my glass and I do throw in some algae wafers for all the critters. I do use Cuttlebone to help with calcium.
I am tired buying these guys every month
Maybe one of your fish is picking on them? When I had swordtails, I tried to get apple snails and they were relentless on trying to pick on their antennae. I thought they would get bored of them after a while, but they ended up killing the snails.
Interesting. I got one than about a week later it died. I dose excel. Fish weren't picking on it. I'm glad to know excel might have been what killed it because my water levels were fine.
I dose all flourish products and my nerites are fine. Harder water is good though.
I have never seen any fish picking on the snails and I do not use excel
I am tired of buying these guys I just want them to live
