Check that it has all its limbs along with the antennae. Are the legs or antennae shorter than the other shrimp? If so, you have a bacterial infection in your tank.
Nope its just temporary CRS housing and I got them from a reputable breeder. Also it's mostly the photo quality that's making it look like it has white stripes mixed in.Were those tigers kept with CRS before? It looks like a tigerxcrs cross to me..
I've heard speedie use melafix with good results and others too, but for me I haven't had it do anything. I've had much better results with paraguard. I meant to say paraguard though lol....typo since I have both on hand.Skip melafix. Melafix is a great when to keep it from spreading but Paraguard was the only way I got rid of the bacteria infection in my PFR tank. I dosed melafix for about a week and a half and the shrimp were still slow and looking cloudy. Once I did a large water change and dosed per paraguards instructions the bacteria infection went away in 4 days and I didn't loose any shrimp during the dosing.
Now I dose paraguard for three days after I add new shrimp to any of my tanks. A quarantine tank would be nice but I don't have the room and would hate to have to adjust tank parameters to mimic the conditions in the tank that they are going to eventually be in every time i get new shrimp.
Hmm maybe, anything I can do about that? Params look fine and other shrimp are molting fine in it too.It looks like a bad molt
Yeah that is why I used melafix. It didn't work well for me, but that might have been because of how bad the infection was in my tank. I love the smell and my plants seem to like it in my low tech tanks. If you have any doubt it wont hurt to dose melafix to see if the shrimp get better. If they get worse paraguard would be a good option.I've heard speedie use melafix with good results and others too, but for me I haven't had it do anything. Floaters and moss to the side, I'm waiting for some shipment of plants to come in, H. Japan and such. It's actually tough to tell from the pics. You are claiming that the shrimp is sluggish and the antennae is shorter which are prime examples of an infection....as others have said, it could also be a bad molt but highly unlikely if you have two of them. If in fact it is a bad molt, then your parameters are bad. Here is a link with some bacterial infections which has red tigers shown....

How long has the tank been set up for? It looks awfully clean. Where are your plants?
I advise you to take them out, as they have bacterial infection in later phase already. I am almost sure that you cannot keep them alive, not even with treatment. So I have about 7 Red Tigers in my tank atm and there's one that's been looking funky for about 2 weeks.
Will do, thanks. They kinda look like the 2 nondead red tigers in your post.I advise you to take them out, as they have bacterial infection in later phase already. I am almost sure that you cannot keep them alive, not even with treatment.
