i got three big mystery snails from my lfs, they were in a tank with gold fish (of which i also bought two) i also have two african claw frogs in the tank. it is a 20g and two of the three snails have already died one is floating at the top and is half alive the other is ded for sure and i found a worm attached to him.
help!

Copper kills snails. Test your water for copper.

What is the pH and temp of your water?

I think goldfish have been known to peck at mystery snails, stressing them out. Also, depending on the size of your goldfish and african clawed frogs your nitrates might be too high. Mystery snails are sensitive to water quality.

hmm i didnt think of any of those i assumed they were some pretty hardcore snails considering the tank they were inhabiting prior. but my nitrite and ammonia is fine and my ph is 7.5

Was the worm a leech? If so thats your culprit, I would guess.

i dont think it was a leech but it was black and wriggly it just didnt look like any leach ive ever seen
