Curious -- do guppies like dirt water as long as the tank is heavily planted and there isn't an ammonia/nitrate/whatever problem? Just lots of debris and nutrients or whatever?I have them in low tech tanks with sponge filters to high tech with CO2 and power heads, and everything in between.
Have to be careful of the power heads as it can damage long finnage if they don't have an area to chill out, or if it's on all the time.
Nets + Fancy Guppies = a No No also. I use a clear plastic square cup.

I don't have any dirted tanks, but...have raised guppies in dirt-bottomed outside ponds before, so I don't see why you couldn't, if all the parameters are ideal.Curious -- do guppies like dirt water as long as the tank is heavily planted and there isn't an ammonia/nitrate/whatever problem? Did you ever end up getting any of these? I recently just took my first run at fancy guppies (they came in the mail today lol) and went with Hawaiian blues myself. Its my favorite colorWhat are some breeders you guys recommend? I'm looking to get some Hawaiian blue guppies one of these days.
