Who is the best plant retailer?

I'm close to ordering enough plants to fill my 90G. I was thinking of AZ gardens but someone said I'd be better off buying somewhere else. I'm very customer service oriented if that helps at all. I also live in Ca. Any good suggestions? Please don't try and sell me YOUR product. I want to hear from customers....not business owners.:icon_wink

Normally we don't allow vendor reviews on this forum but we're going to try something new here. People can list whoever vendor they buy from but PLEASE DON'T BAD MOUTH another vendor and keep the praise at a minimum.
I vote for SNS. When I first got into planted tanks, I purchased some of my plants from aquariumplants.com and they were nice, but you will not find better, healthier plants then thru hobbiest that sell on SNS. You may have to be patient and buy from several people, but I think it is worth it!
I've had great experience with Foster and Smith Live Aquaria and buying stuff from Planted Tank memebers here at the Swap and Shop.
I just got back into the hobby and ordered some from aquariumplants.com last week(I've used them back in the days as well). The plants are in really good condition and the shipping prices are a great deal. I order bigger quantities from retailers where I can get everything I want at once, but other then that I like the SwapnShop.
I have ordered from aquariumplants.com several times, and got great plants. I have done the S&S, and I plan to order from sweet aquatics again based on a recommendation of a fellow member.

Other than places like aquabid or right here I've never seen plants sold online with a shipping charge that wasn't ridic.
Sounds pretty good so far. I guess I'll be dealing with the SNS and aquariumplant.com. I didn't realize there were so many people in the hobby selling their plants. This makes me want to transform my garage into an aquatic plant farm. Hmmmm.

+1!!!

I've had far better luck with the S&S here than with any of the online sellers. Better quality, larger quantities, and much better prices and shipping charges.
Swap N Shop for 90% of my stuff. But if I need something specific, I have bought from aquariumplants.com(local to me) and sweetaquatics. I'm comfortable recommending both to someone. Sweet always responds quickly to emails, but ask them when they will ship, as it might be more than a day or two later. It is a second job for them, just like RootMedic is for me.

It might be more than a week or two later . . .

Always ask and they will tell you when it will ship. Their quality is high though, and prices/shipping are good. If you need something right away, SnS or aquariumplants.com is prob your best bet.

I have ordered from aquariumplants.com and the SnS. I had good luck with both. SnS is going to be cheaper, but online sites like aquariumplants.com are better for large volumes. You can usually get almost everything you want all at once.
Just received some great looking plants from SnS. I also made 3 purchase from AquariumPlants in the past and got good healthy plants.
I have order numerous times at aquariumplants.com in the past. Never once had a problem with plants or shipping. I highly recommend them, they have large amount of plants selections to choose from!
I've never ordered plants online - always through the SnS here. The beauty of the SnS is that people are often just trying to get rid of some extras at a low price, and you can usually get a current picture of whatever you're buying, so you know exactly how it looks.

Having said that, if I wanted something specific I couldn't find here, I'd probably go through Foster&Smith. I've ordered plenty of gear from there, and have always been happy with prices and shipping costs, as well as speed of delivery. And I've been tempted more than once to buy one of their assorted plant packages.

My comment is no more positive or negative than yours, it’s simply a fact of ordering plants online.
