My Betta has recently developed a small, white spot on his eye. It almost looks like ich, but there has been no other spots showing up my other fish. It looks like a perfect dot of white right over the center of his right eye. Very small, very precise. No rough edges. Just a perfect little dot.

He's eating just fine. Swimming around as per usual. His neon tetra tankmates show no sign of specs, sluggishness, or etc. It's clearly bothering his sight as he only comes up to the glass with his good eye to leer at me.

Now, recently I've been having issues with kH and pH swings... I know this could stress him out and open him up to infection, and I've been working on stabilizing it.

My question is whether or not I should treat this assuming that it's ich, or let it develop to see what it really is? Or should I treat with ParaGuard as if it is just a scratch on his cornea?

I really hope it's as simple and straightforward as that. A catappa leaf should help, no?

My lizard just died from an eye infection and now my little fish has one too... It's been a really long March. :/

Okay, so for a few days it looked like it was clearing up. It was getting smaller and more translucent. But now it's back, very bright and silvery..... And it's on the other eye too. Ugh.

So I added a catappa leaf and I'm thinking of adding paraguard. In my tank, I also have my assassin snail, a very small whiptail cat(only until my 40B cycles), my neons, and a schoal of pygmy cories(who are breeding like crazy ATM). What medications will be safe with them? I heard the cories can be sensitive and I don't want to kill my snail.

And now there is a white tube coming from his anus....

It showed up today. It's flat at the end about 7-8mm long, no feather duster look to it like callamarus, so I'm thinking tapeworm. Which means his eyes are probably a secondary infection stemming from him being infested with a tapeworm. Which also means his buddies in his tank could also be infested or are about to be.

This could also explain why he's been so shy the last few days. I thought it was because he couldn't see well atm, but maybe because there was more going on. He usually photo bombs the camera like mad. Now he's acting like I'm trying to eat him. It's disconcerting.

I dosed the tank with 1/4 the normal paraguard recommended treatment yesterday. I dosed it at again today. Should I pick up metro+ to dose his and his tankmates' food? Prazipro?

I'd really appreciate some feedback in the matter. Web searches are fine and dandy, but actual direct feedback is kinda what I'm looking for here.
