Hey everyone,

For the past couple weeks my drop checkers are full of some sort of white slime that keeps forming even after i clean them out, is this some sort calcium build up perhaps?

I can take some pictures if necessary

do u run DIY co2?

no, pressurized co2, with a drop checker on both sides of the tank (75 gallon) and both get this slime in them.

do u have a lot of surface scum? or dead / melting leaves floating around?

no surface scum, a few leaves here and there, have had some issues with plants melting, no idea why.

i was thinking its some kind of organic matter from decomposing plants.
try to clean the DC's real good and do a big WC, and try to clean up as much dead / dieng stuff as possable.
is this slims soft and slippery, or hard?

it's soft. i tend to just flick it out with my finger, some of my plant leaves were going from green to clear (some of my hygro. polysmera), maybe it is the plant waste. the tank usually isn't too bad in that sense though, i do try and keep things in good shape, but still having trouble finding the balance i need for everything to really flourish.
