I got dried Mulberry leaves from a local shrimp breeder and everyone in my tank loves them 馃構
There are several trees and shrubs in a trail that I frequently visit, the leaves look like mulberries. I was wondering if theres a way to know.
Here鈥檚 a pic of one

It looks like a Mulberry to me. Identifying a specific variety from the shrimp breeder may be helpful. Mulberries secrete a sap that is toxic. If not dried completely can have negative effects on humans and I would assume the aquarium as well.

Agreed, it looks like a Mulberry leaf. I have a Mulberry tree on my property and all I do is freeze the leaves first. This breaks down the cell walls. You can blanch them as well but I find that freezing is much easier and this way I can store them for long periods of time.
