So I have a current pump in my sump and I need opinions as to hoe to increase my flow. I currently have a Hydor koralia 425 ad a small Powerhead about 200gph hooked up to a spraybar. But it's coming out so don't count it for now. The pump in the sump is about 400gph.

I have 6 options I can think of to increase my flow. In the mag drive part, it would just replace my current pump.

If you have any other suggestions please comment. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. and questions.

This is all in a 95 gallon.

A mag 9.5 would turn your tank over about 8.5 times an hour with an estimated 4' of head pressure and should eliminate the need for a powerhead.

Yea but my outflow holes are ear the substrate so I don't wanna blow them away. And I'm aiming for about 12-15 times over if not more.

I have a Mag 12 on a 65g through a 3 sided spraybar. If you use PVC to make a spraybar and paint it black to hang under the rim of the front 3 portions of the tank you have enough flow, eliminating dead spots, and you can diffuse your Co2 through it I wouldnt use less than a 12 on a 90g tho.

Well the place in which I can place my sump is very limited.... The largest I could put would be a mag drive 9.5 which I'm not even sure it would fit...

I was looking for a similar solution for my 90 gal planted tank. I went with the JBJ Oceanstream Circulation pumps + Duo Wavemaker Kit - See it here (offsite) - http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_viewi...&utm_campaign=mdcsenextag2&utm_content=JB6331

It's not very expensive, and gives good alternating flow, which you can adjust via the controller. I got the smaller 500 gph unit.

A 9.5 is about 3"x5.5" and is enough to keep my 135 circulating with no dead spots at a turn over rate of roughly 6 times per hour.
