First post Hello everyone. I'm experienced in reef tanks for years but now I'm taking a break and starting a 36 corner bowfront planted aquarium. First I will be using flourite which will be arriving tomorrow but I want to use sand that won't compact or end up on the bottom of the flourite. I did order some gravel that I might return if the size is to big for plants? I will post a picture of the gravel I ordered. What sand could I get that is safe and is a larger size then the fine types I always find or is the gravel fine? And a question a little off the topic I will be running two 36watt lights that I got from AH-supply {1}6700k and {1}10K, is this enough for most plants? I will have a number of fish also. Thanks:icon_smil

That gravel looks small enough. In fact, if that is a close-up picture on the gravel, that is pretty small:)
