I would just take sponge out and just use it as circulation pump, it’s actually perfect size/lph for doing your ramp and bamboo shrimp. Besides you don’t want it filtering out debris, you want particles to pass through and bamboo shrimp do the filtering. The slots on housing will keep any big debris and wood shrimp from hitting impeller, if you want just roll up a small spool of fiberglass window screen as light mesh and put in there. That pump and it’s little spray bar is absolutely perfect for wood shrimp, all you have to do is get rid of sponge.

In the current tank there are also baby CRS, don't you think that they will get sucket into the chopper without the sponge?

Really not much you can do but go to bigger piece of foam/mesh that won’t clog so easily. In my 7 gal which has Aquaclear 20 you can see a mesh sock I made to keep snails out of filter input tube. It’s fiberglass window screen ($5) rolled up 3 layers thick into a mesh sock that’s bigger round than input tube, about .125” gap all way around tube. It goes all way from gravel up to above water line. There is so much surface area in relation to water flow that it never clogs. You can see some large debris stuck in middle of it where filter input is, if it clogs there water flow just moves somewhere else along the 10” length of sock.
