Which plants would you like to see more readily available?

Hi

I'm wondering..
What plants would you like to see more of in your local stores?
What plants do you wish you could get your hands on?

I'm not thinking about some rare Tonina, but useful, good growth plants..

Me, I'd like access to Elatine triandra.. I can't find this plant in Europe at all.

Apart from that, perhaps some low light foreground plants..

Downoi!

It does well in my low tech tank, just something right now is nibbling on it :(

don't feel bad if Denmark has low plant availability,
here in NYC plant availability is a problem of light.

most stores only sell low light plants,
and the few that have high light plants
simply don't know how to care of them.

here in NYC for example;

the best store for plants in NYC is called fishtownUSA where they have the typical wisteria & anacharis & hornwort every pet store sells, along with an assortment of swords, crypts, vals, and even anubias. their store tanks are algae free, plants bunchs are fresh and appealing, and they price them well, but instead of also having high light plants, they sell immersed plants for the pond keepers market.

the best store for HIGH Light plants is called h2oAquarium where they have a nice assortment of mostly Ludwigias, Rotalas, and some grass plants, however they keep them in low light tanks peppered with algae, so unless you buy them within a few days of coming from their plant dealer, you might as well forget it, because the plants got wilted and algaed.

so now you know why in the city that never sleeps, and in a city that sells pretty much everything else you could desire, PTF members still have to buy all their plants online or in trades with other plant keepers :icon_redf

..
I just found out last night that according to the website for Connecticut I have some of this in the lake behind my house along with a couple of other decent goodies. I think I will have to keep my eyes peeled when I take the dog for a walk this weekend.
