Which one do you guys think would look better in a 55 gallon with shrimp?

THe first one, that is not a java moss carpet. Moss doesn't carpet well, grows straight up and for any sort of carpet, needs trimming to keep it even which gets lots of little moss pieces everywhere. Better to tie to something and use that to line your path.

That's a great idea, but what will cover the rest of the area that is not covered by the
"trail"?
