For me Christmas moss did attach to driftwood. As has peacock moss and java moss. Out of the three peacock moss is my favorite but I also like the fronds produced by Christmas moss.

Fissidens will attach to anything -- you can even grow it onto things via the dry start method by making a paste out of it and some plain yogurt and painting it on. I've not ever had problems with Christmas moss attaching to wood.

Which aquatic mosses will attach to branches/rock after a period of time?

I've heard Christmass Moss and some others will never attach, even if secured in place for a period of time.

I had fissidens sprout up out of nowhere on some driftwood and is spreading along it on its own (this wood was never exposed to a tank with fissidens, and had even been bleach soaked and boiled before the fissidens appeared) o_O
