Hi,

I ordered some pennywort recently. Plantgeek says that it can either be planted or left floating, I would rather plant it. Would it be a better foreground or background plant?

For me it's based on H2O flow. If it grows anywhere near as fast as mine. I plant in a back corner. it grows straight up, then across the surface of the H2O. The flow from the filter return pushes it towards the front so it doesn't shade everything else. BTW, I trim about 2' off of it every other week.

Does it not grow too high for you? Do you have to trim regularly?

topher, thank you. I was about to give up planted tank when I had bba problems. Thanks to Diablocanine and Jen, the tank now looks better than it ever did. Anyway, about every month I pull them out and cut the tops and replant them. They do grow fast. The reason I use them as foreground is that my tank is 125g and my family sits about 10 feet away from the tank.
