Hi I'm looking for some solenoids to build my automatic water change system. Do you guy have a place you go to to buy these items?

I'm thinking just "T" one of my filter output and hook that up the a timer operated solenoid and pump the water out to my garden. And another solenoid to let the water back in (either tap or RO, not sure yet).

Ebay sell this top off controller, have anyone use it?

I saw many thread with automatic water change, but none mention anything about where to buy the equipments.

Thanks.

These guys have a good selection of all sorts of stuff, not the most competitive prices though, and shipping is added on after you pay, which turns me off. http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/listings.categories/ssid/353

Most of the regular aquarium supply places will have some parts and even complete water change systems, I usually start my searches here http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/Shop.cfm?N=2004

The ebay item looks good, but there are many, many different ways to implement a water change system, depending on your circumstances, so you need to check carefully that this will do what you want it to do.

For example, some might use regular tap water to refill. Others might use a holding tank. And so on.

I went for a cheap solution, and used a float switch from Walmart, connected to an irrigation solenoid from Home Depot. Works great (so far). :icon_mrgr
