Tipsy I don't paintball so I don't know to be honest.. I am told that the Dicks Sporting Goods chain will do it..but I will have to call.. There is an Airgas place real close to my house.. so im hoping they will do it.i get my three 22oz paintball bottles, and my 5# tank fill at the paintball
store! (paintball ohio)<the name of the place...............
most of them airgas places will only swap out your nice new bottle for
one of their rusty ol bottles! some don't.
and tell you to hit the road.
no paint ball shops by you?
where do you ge your painball tanks filled now?
The red sea system I have will work with standard tanks and I agree.. going with 5lb once I can confirm where to get it locally.. Looks like I'll try Airgas and then Dicks Sporting goods first..I found a liquor store near me that fills tanks for home brewers, etc. Got my 5 lb filled for $12. I'd ask the LFS or check "welding supply", "beverage supply" or "brewer supply" in the yellow pages.
What size is your aquarium?
I highly recommend sticking with a CGA-320 style regulator & 5 or 2.5 lb CO2 cylinder. I initially set up a paintball system & was disappointed with various aspects of it. I was seduced by its compactness & ability to fill paintball cylinders at Dick's Sporting Goods.
I got my 5 lb cylinder from aquariumplants.com & am thrilled with it:thumbsup:

You should definitely call the AirGas location before you take your cylinder there. Not all AirGas locations do refills. The AirGas location near me won't refill; they will only swap. I didn't want to swap my shiny new aluminum cylinder for an old dirty one. Luckily I found a local gas & welding supply store that does refills.Anyway.. I found an AIRGAS location near me.. and I am assuming right now that they will refill my tank.
