Where Can I Find a Fish Calculator?

806 Views 12 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  VadimShevchuk
I'm looking for a fish "calculator". I am looking for some fish that can live in 68F in up. Is there any calculator or fish finder that could do that? Thanks in advance.

Can a mod move this to the fish section. Dumb mistake.....:icon_redf
There's no 'calculator' of the this kind, that I know of. You're looking for 'cold water fish'. Just google that and you'll get all sorts of fish.

*edit: ridewake got a good one.
lots of tropical fish can handle lower temps, we just keep them in the upper 70's usually. I goggled cold water and all i get is white cloud minnow, goldfish, and danio.
Let us not forget paradise fish, and weather loaches.

Maybe it would help if we knew what sort of system you were trying to do, other than it will be cold water.
I personally wouldn't keep 'tropical fish' in the high 60's & low 70's. There are plenty of cold water fishes that we keep and call them 'tropical' however.

*some barbs
*some plecos
*most loaches
*most danios

There are some beautiful north american cold water fishes too.

what more can you ask for?
thank you mistergreen, now that is giving me some ideas!
Check out some of the native minnows and daces. Some are extraordinary and sought by European aquarium hobbyists.
you might think about Koi, I was given 2 and they are a blast you can pet them
Apistogramma borelli are perfectly happy with 68F, I read that they've been captured all the way down to 50F.

Definitely a pond fish not for the aquarium.

+1 on that. I'll look into the apistos, they look awesome. Would they be okay with CPDs or white cloud minnows?
