I have a 10 gallon with pressurized CO2, I have it set up to start running one hour before the lights turn on but My drop checker doesn't turn green for several hours after the lights turn on. When you have co2 is it best to get the drop checker to turn green before the lights come on?

Yeah one hour before lights on and one hour before lights off, that's pretty much everybody agrees on. It will take couple of hours or so to turn the drop checker to green-lime green if there's enough Co2.
