i just purchased some dry ferts and im going to be auto dosing them through a bubble magus .. its a 45 gal. tank and will be dosing 3 ML a day switching from one to another mon-sat. when is the best time to add the ferts?

About an hour before the photo period with the CO2 is my understanding.

ok .. i put my co2 on an hour before my lights ... should i put the ferts in when the c02 first comes on or wait 30 minutes before the lights come on ?

not trying to start an argument, but if were dosing EI which is basically an over dose of ferts why would it matter what time we put the ferts in? if you were lets say 6 hours late putting ferts in there should still be plenty in there from 2 days before?

I just dose tomorrow's ferts on the night before. For EI that is.

It does not matter.

The only time if could matter is if the time between doses is very long, say more than 3-4 days etc..........maybe a week or two for some nutrients..........

Or if you ran the nutrients at a semi limiting or a limiting level where if you missed a few doses, your plants would slow and not grow as much, stunt etc......

A way around that would be to use nutrient rich sediments, they are loaded and offer a good back up.
