What's your favorite "low tech" shrimp?

I've been breeding RCS for a couple years now with overall success. Although I've lost large amounts due to user error, my community has been breeding and happy. We even got some Red Rilis that are doing pretty good!
What is my next step? I've always loved CRS, but don't have the patience to deal with finicky shrimp. What's a great looking shrimp (possibly with vibrant colors/patterns), that is fairly easy to take care of?

Something that doesn't need RO water, additives, etc. And can live fairly easy with a heavily planted tank and regular water changes.

I'd love some suggestions for both Neocaridina and non-Neocaridina shrimp that fit the criteria.

Any Neo is going to be the same. Even Yellows, though some claim they're more finnicky (I don't think they are - at least not in my experience).

Tangerine Tigers may be a good option for you.
I can breed the heck out of neos but throw something slightly more advanced like a tiger...well, might as well flush them down the toilet cause they don't seem to like staying alive for me. Guess it's nothing but neos for me.
Tangerine Tigers eh?
Thanks for the tip Jake, I'll look more into them.
I'd really like CRS, but will probably end up killing them. :/
I'm keeping CRS and CBS in heavily planted low tech tanks, CBS are going on about a year in the 10G, dirt capped with clown barf gravel. CRS tank is a 20L with dirt/natural stone/HMF and they seem to like it just fine. They might not breed at the same rate as an RO/superbacter/crazyscience tank but they are still quite fun to watch and aside from one bad molt (not even a CRS, it was a Rili that was recently introduced) I haven't had any deaths in the 20L (the 10 had a hydra outbreak and a damselfly nymph rode in on some plants and I probably lost 3-4 juvenile shrimp and a dozen white cloud fry in the week it took my mystery snails to beat the hydra back). Lower grade CRS are still amazing looking against any substrate and TBH I think the difficulties in raising them have been wildly overstated.
