I'm using api test strips right now, but i don't like em. in the past i used the nutrafin liquid kits by hagen, but the reagents got old as i got out of the hobby for a few years. looking for something fairly accurate as I'm using RO water and need top buffer it a bit and need to find out my ro/tap water ratios

thanks, john

just use the api liquid test kits. Can't go wrong with those and these test kits are designed to give you the general picture of your tank conditions, not laboratory level measurements. Though for all intents of purposes api liquid test kits are really good for the price. Of course you can get fancy ones that are more accurate but theres a significant increase in the price. Most people use the api test kits with no problem

strip tests are in general not as accurate as their liquid counterparts and hard to read.
