What would You call this CRS?

Don't drool over the white one (Benibachi breed out). I'm talking about the one next to it.

The white looks pink, even more so in person. I wouldn't call it a crystal pink shrimp because it's still a CRS. Kind of a weird mutation, reminds me of a shadow, but I've never seen a shadow red before. I only have one so it's far from refined. Hope it doesn't die before contributing to the gene pool.

Odoul rules!!!

"embarassed" because she's blushing.

that's a papaya colored crystal. very pretty
very nice man..
That would be a really sweet shrimp to give a shrimp loving spouse on valentines day!!!
I think that may be what used to be called by an old term "bleeding heart." Hmmm....now that I think of it, maybe not. I think that term applied to goldens with a red spot on the side headpiece.

I'm at a loss.

It's only red bolt if it is like a snow white with that pinkish tone. (Like blue bolt)
i had a couple of those too. Not full body pink like that, but a good part of their body was pink. They were always female though. Not sure why, but they seemed healthy until I sold them.
Some of the PRLs I got from Shawn several months ago have the pink coloration and it's slowly developing in newer generations.

Seems to be a trend with a bunch of folks lately and it's tons of fun to watch.

Can't wait to see how it turns out for you, jimko.
Jimmy NICE shrimps! :)

Ive got a couple like that too, one is a hino the other is a crown mosura...at first when it started to turn this pinkish color I thought it was dying or something bad. However she's berried and is still wandering around my tank, just looked at her.

I DO believe if memory serves me correctly that I got some of those from Shawn...maybe its genetic. Im going to put her with the male BBs Im getting see what comes out of that gene pool???

Love that Benibachi though.....got to have some of those too

I just had a horrible joke pass through my mind about culls becoming bagoong! Or dried alamang!

I am a bad bad person!

"Hoy, you shrimp, you are not pretty so you had better be tasty, naman!"
I had several of these. I used to cull them out trying to keep my whites white. I think there is one juvie in the tank right now that is going to be pink. It was always females for some reason. Guess the males were too macho to turn pink.
It is color bleed, its a trait lots of other caridinas have as well, oebt, black tigers and even cbs get this as well. I have a feeling it has something to do with environment because i get this a lot more in my crs tank that has flourite in it than i do with aquasoil tanks.
i think dk had some like that for a while not sure what she did with them though
Really. My tank has fluorite. That may explain it.
What! I have flourite too. I should get some CRS that actually live :O
