I have around 200 shrimp in my 10 gallon, its pretty moderately planted. All low to the ground plants. I was just wondering if I should add fish? I want something swimming in my tank lol.. I have otos but that just doesn't cut it. I recently made a 20H community tank and a community tank is addicting. :confused1:

So what types of fish should I get and how many? Any and all recommendations are welcomed!!
I would like to buy these fish from a fellow member so keep that in mind. I will be buying the fish of whoever has the best idea.

ALSO keep in mind I don't want my shrimp eaten up... Maybe a few here and there.

Those are probably the closest you can get to 100% shrimp safe.

Depends on how many of each. Since you already have 200 shrimp in there, you won't be able to put much more fish. What filter do you have? Also, I would just pick one type to add in your current setup. Just my opinion.

Well shrimp have a very low bioload. Just a whisper HOB filter. Nothing special. Hmm this is taking more thought then I thought.

Lots of fish would work... ricefish, white clouds, various rasboras, lampeyes, Yunnanilus spp., cories, Pseudomugil spp., etc. The list just goes on and on. BTW I've actually had first hand and have tried all of those with shrimp with good results but ymmv

Eventually I think you should keep it as it is or remove maybe 1/3-1/2 of your shrimp. Then you could add more fish. I tend to stay in the low side of bioload.

i would say forget the fish, put in a divider, and add more shrimp of a different kind! lol

But seriously, what they said.. I second the cories. Also, harlequin rasboras and cardinal tetras dont touch anything but food IME.
