I have a 12g nano cube set up in the lab that I work in. Tomorrow morning they are stripping and waxing the floors in that lab. It smells horrible when they do it so I can only imagine the chemical fumes that the stripping and rewaxing produces. What is the best plan for the tank? Turn the filter off and cover the whole thing with a trashbag? Should I leave the light on?
what do you guys think?

I hate to say it- but I think your best bet would take it home- or ask a buddy on another floor if you can put it in their office for a day or two.
How often do they do this?

If that's not an option then I would leave the light and filter on and cover it. Make sure the light is not going to melt the bag..

Moving the tank is not an option. They do this about once every 18 months. These are cell culture labs and it hasn't bothered all the cells in the incubators that were in the room during the waxing. I guess I will cover the tank and hope for the best.
