what to add to RO?

I recently had to switch to RO due to high nitrtae levels in the local tap water. By the time I dosed ferts and fed the fish nitrate readings were off the charts. On the other hand the RO has a PH of 6.4 and KH is almost non existent. I've read that adding baking soda will raise the KH but it still LACKS essential minerals and salts that both fish and plants need. My question is that should I be adding JUST Seachem Replenish or add both baking soda and replenish? As you can tell I'm a bit confused here.

TIA,

I use grumpys GH booster from Rex griggs site. Every couple of water changes I add in a couple of gallons of my tap water just to give it a little extra that the gh booster doesn't have. Its pretty much seachem equilibrium. There aer a few good threads over at aquaticplantcentral.com in the fertilizing area of the site.
Why not dose your normal tap water with Prime? It will dechlorinate the water, and get rid of all nitrogenious wastes. Here is a link - http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=4057

Because tap water is inconsistent. That is the reason of using RO water and adding the minerals yourself, complete control of the water chemistry.
SeaChem Equilibrium
SeaChem Equilibrium
Which is practically the same as Barr's GH booster and Grumpy's GH booster. Actually they are so similar that both Barr's and Grumpy's use the same dosing instructions as Equilibrium.

Yep, but he said that the reason he switched over to reverse osmosis water was because of the high nitrates. So, instead of having to use the RO system, he could just add the Prime and be OK. I didn't know he wanted to adjust his parameters.

I would assume that the high nitrates were from his tap water. So adding it back in then would make absolutely no sense. Prime will not remove Nitrates from your water.
I've used several products and settled on Grumpy's mix from Rex. (Been using it for two years) SeaChem Equilibrium is OK but took forever to fully dissolve compared to the Grumps.
I currently use a gram scale for measurements but still have this in my old excel sheet. Baking soda, Using level filled spoons. (Use a straight edge after filling to remove excess powdered soda from the spoon not heaping filled for measuring) Mix it into a pitcher of tank water then add it to the tank.
To increase KH
1/8 TSP : 6.6gallons = 1dKH
1/4 TSP : 13.2gallons = 1dKH
1/2 TSP : 26.4gallons = 1dKH

Rex's site has fantastic info without searching though threads it's very easy to follow.
