What size tank?

Hello!

I wanna start with a new low light tank.
I thought that about 30 g will be normal.
So what about dimensions?

Are 100x30x40 cm (LxHxW) fine?
Or 100x40x30 cm (LxHxW) will be better?

I am planning lights about 5x15watts fluorocent's + pressurized co2.

Any suggestions about dimensions ?

though 10cm either way hardly matters,
if you want more room for plants, then
obviously more width is better than height.
neither plants nor fish really need height,
that only makes it easier for us to see.
