i have access to potassium permangenate via the labs at my university. what is the proper concentration to make a sterilizer safe for plants to remove algae. or is there a better method?
i also have access to the proper equipment to make the 4dKH solution(graduated cylinders, pipettes, scientific scales, etc...) i need for my drop checkers. what is the best carbonate to use for this?

thanks,
brandon

Here are the instructions I found on the web for PP use.

100ppm = 1 gram in 10 liters of water - will kill all parasites on plants. At 100 ppm Potassium Permanganate bath will kill any thing but plants (no more than 15 minutes)
